ETHOS

APT is a residency for furniture and object designers rooted in creative exchange.

Over the course of a year, APT is inviting 4-5 designers to live and work in the same apartment at different times. Each resident is encouraged to leave behind a contribution to the space, slowly shaping it into a collective site that reflects the people who passed through it and the practices they brought with them.

WORKSHOP

OVERVIEW

John Junior Kim will walk a small group through a workshop on the fundamentals of glow and lighting. Each participant will leave with their own lamp made from found/recycled objects.

Meet John: 

John Junior Kim is a celebrated mixed media artist and designer based in Brooklyn, NY. His works are tender and dynamic, honest, and curious. They encompass opportunistic sculptures, luminous objects, and all the spaces in between.
